In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Some of my happiest of days were just playing at the local house parties in the manor, looking up and seeing everyone having a good time while we escape the madness on the London streets. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Common, Like Water For Chocolate Nathaniel Merriweather, Nathaniel Merriweather Presents...Lovage: Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By (feat. Mike Patton, Jennifer Charles, Kid Koala & Dan the Automator) Tha Alkaholiks, Likwidation Likwidation was one to bump when getting ready for a night out. NM presents is just packed with beauties. Lots of trip hop, jazz fusion and cinematic. Like Water For Chocolate is pure class. Common is one of the best, and Dila on all beat? Classic! Tell us why you chose this song. “Lone Stroller (Bye Bye Babsy)” One of my most meaningful tracks I've made, and it's a dedication to my mother who was struggling with Cancer at the time. I was making my Nightfall LP at the time of her passing, and I made this one with her in mind just before she passed. Babs x What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably travelling to Madrid for a mass meet up with some 'Cold Busted' label mates. We hit a bar one day 1, did a beat show on day 2, and had a studio session on day 3. See the 'Amparo' LP by The Deli, Es.K & Jansport J for the result of that meet. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, there's several artists I'm hoping to work with. Also, at some point I'd like to do a follow up of my Dirtythumbs Project and release it on vinyl. I'd like to do a few more shows and DJ sets as I've enjoyed doing a few over the last two years.
