Surprisingly not the name of the lead character, Gabriel Burns was the name of a popular audio drama series created in Germany. Conceived by writers Raimon Weber and Volker Sassenberg, the work was developed by Sassenberg into the award-winning series, which made its debut in 2003. The show went on to win a number of genre awards over the next few years. The lead character, one Steven Burns, is referred to as "Gabriel" at one point in the show, but it was kept mum as to why. The series was narrated by Juergen Kuckert and starred Bernd Vollbrecht as Burns. ~ Chris True
