About Chuck Bramlet

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mom bought me LPs from the local Safeway, Time-Life's "The World's Greatest Composers." I was mesmerized by Debussy, Bach, and Tchaikovsky. I buried my head in the speaker of our big Mono cabinet, entered a blissful trance, and wouldn't leave. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Rough and Rowdy Ways Brian Eno, Harold Budd, The Pearl Miles Davis, In a Silent Way These had me at first listen. When a track transports you, and you have no choice but to go with it, it becomes addicting. This is what I strive for as an artist. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “In the Gloaming” This is a musical description of the liminal space between dark and light. It is for Autumn, when the veil between worlds is thinnest. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was a rock band member for many years, touring, recording, slugging it out. Later I was a session musician for hire in Los Angeles. t wasn't until I started composing and releasing recordings regularly that I found my calling here in Ashland. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Every composer wishes for their pieces to be heard. As live performance of my compositions would prove costly, and dangerous in post-covid times, I am happy my work continues to be played digitally, and listeners numbers increase steadily over time.
