In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Sitting in the backseat of my parents car, on a long drive listening to a soundtrack of Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Simon & Garfunkel and Leonard Cohen. Those songs and artists are infused into my bones now. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million Damien Rice, My Favourite Faded Fantasy Radiohead, OK Computer Each of these albums changed my perspective of what great music can be and when I first heard each of them I obsessed for months playing nothing else. They set the level for what we aspire to as a band. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Water” This song feels like a pure and raw representation of the emotion and lived experience that we represent as Belle Mt.; it's beautiful, passionate and raw with emotion and pain. It's a good litmus test for finding the people that feel life like we do. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our first show in America was in Canton Ohio; 5 minutes before our set we received word that all other shows on the tour were cancelled due to a hurricane hitting the whole route. So we gave Ohio all we had, receiving a standing ovation. We arrived. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We have big ambitions. Headlining festivals one day, tours, an evolving catalogue of great records that spans our lifetime. We're so connected to the fans that we do have and are ready to reach and connect to so many more. The bucket list is long!
