Fabriclive 86

Full of shuddering breakbeats, sumptuous synths and voluminous bass, My Nu Leng's Fabriclive 86 is a killer DJ mix that doubles as a survey of British dance music at its most dynamic. Beginning with the duo's own "Ruins", a dubstep-soaked collaboration with Kahn, the set winds through brittle UK garage (Holy Goof's "Cheatin"), concussive grime ("Andrew Diggs' "The Ghost (VIP)") and skulking techno (Randomer's "Bring"). Nu-Birth's slinky 1998 cut "Anytime (Tuff & Jam's Kick Dub)" makes for a great throwback, while Synth Sense's closing "Tomorrow's World (Indigo Remix)" looks toward the deep future.
