Dhoom

Dhoom

Among several major rock bands in India vying for space in the late 1990s, Euphoria and their leader Palash Sen sprung forward with songs in Hindi (and a smattering of English lyrics) and a molten fusion that made the country get their groove on. The group’s debut album Dhoom brings together moments of sing-along, arena-ready pop-rock in “Sha Na Na”, ballads like “Tum” and the inimitably vibrant “Dhoom Pichuck” (featuring Indian classical exponent Shubha Mudgal). The likes of “Hind Rock N Roll”, “Kyun Judaa” and “Maa” all showcase fusion rock, while “Body Love” brings their love of funk to the fore.
