Vince Guaraldi Essentials

Vince Guaraldi Essentials

A singular figure with a trademark droopy black moustache, Vince Guaraldi got his start on the cool jazz scene centred in San Francisco's bohemian North Beach. 1962's bossa nova-inspired Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus was his breakthrough LP, including the sunny hit single "Cast Your Fate to the Wind”. The success of that tune led to Guaraldi being invited to score 1965's A Charlie Brown Christmas, which included the uptempo "Linus and Lucy”. The score is still a perennial holiday favorite five decades later.
