Mr. Bungle Essentials

Mr. Bungle Essentials

For a band that never made much commercial headway, Mr. Bungle made its presence felt like a gut-punch with a set of brass knuckles. Their edge-of-madness approach tossed funk, metal, avant-garde, pop and more into a sonic cyclotron for an explosive amalgam that could have been the soundtrack to a twisted alt-rock circus. Singer Mike Patton found fame in the late ‘80s with Faith No More, but never abandoned his Bungle role. Mr. Bungle became even more adventurous as they went along, but by the time they called it quits, they had become a crucial influence on what became the nu-metal scene.
