It'd be easy to believe that Sam Geiser hails from Detroit: the only hint of his native Switzerland audible in his music as Deetron is its clockwork precision, with deep funk basslines, gleaming keys and sleek drums all moving like a well-oiled machine. He got his start in the early '00s banging out tough, loopy tracks and remixing Detroit Grand Pubahs, and he soon joined Belgium's scene-making Music Man Records with the rich, melodic, streamlined style of techno that has become his spine-tingling stock in trade, both on his own tracks and remixing artists like Huxley and The Juan MacLean.
