Joseph Middleton

Pianist Joseph Middleton has earned accolades and a stellar reputation as a vocal accompanist, perhaps lining himself up as an heir to the greats. Middleton is also active as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed around the world in these capacities and has a growing catalog of recordings. His recordings have earned him an Edison Award (with Carolyn Sampson for A Verlaine Songbook) and several nominations for awards from BBC Music Magazine and Grammophone. He was heard on several releases in 2020, including Lines Written During a Sleepless Night with Louise Alder, The Contrast: English Poetry in Song with Sampson, and Schumann: Stille Liebe with Samuel Hasselhorn.
