In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music was a big part of my youth partly because my sister had a huge collection of CDs we used to listen to. My uncle would also come around to our house and speak so passionately about music, Johnny Cash & how much it meant to him. It felt special. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Radiohead, In Rainbows Red Hot Chili Peppers, By the Way Each album in its own way captures such a wide scope of emotion, passion and beauty. They pull in a wide scope of influences and channel them through the lens of the album, with such rawness. As close to perfection as we will get in music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Flight” I absolutely love this song for a number of reasons. The energy and changes that are carried through the track still make me smile. Mostly, it reminds me of a time when I first felt confident of my own style in music and my ability as an artist. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I was booked to play a big festival (Electric Picnic), felt very gratifying for the work I had put in to creating music for release, but also the craft of live performances and translating my style to the stage. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Release an album. Late Night television. One million streams. Collaborate with Four Tet (or have my song remixed)
