Birds of Prey

Birds of Prey are an extreme metal supergroup containing members of Alabama Thunderpussy, Baroness, Municipal Waste, Beaten Back To Pure, and the Last Van Zant. The band’s heavy, abrasive sound is a combination of Southern rock, old school death metal, thrash and stoner rock. With thick, Black Sabbath riffing and raw, Entombed-like delivery, Birds of Prey also emulate the backwater, good-times swill of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Label Society. More a studio project than a working band, Birds of Prey get together on those rare occasions when the members’ primary bands are inactive.
