About Hero One

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child, I grew up listening to Fela and KSA but In the early 2000s, radio and popular mixtapes like POPULAR DEMAND gave me the background I needed in Afro beats and Hip-Hop introducing me to acts like Jay-Z, T.I, Lil Wayne, Birdman and Chingy. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chingy, Jackpot Lil Wayne, Tha Carter II T.I., T.I. vs. T.I.P. Listening to these 3 albums shaped my penmanship, arrangement, beat making and gave me an introduction into the rudiments of collaboration and team work. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Big God, Don't Forget Me” I remember I had anxiety during the making of this song, I felt alone but one morning I got the inspiration for the chorus. This strengthened my faith and gave me the will to persevere. The whole process was a turning point. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I experienced the audience reaction to my song 'Big God' and some other touching comments that made the making of the song memorable and the performance at events something to look forward to. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to meet and work with Jay-Z, Olamide, Kanye West and Dr. Dre.
