Singing in a folk-tinged pop style, Taiwanese singer Terry Lin is gifted with one of the most brilliantly clear tenors in recent Mandopop memory. Lin first gained fame in the early 1990s as one half of the duo Li Lin, performing alongside with singer and guitarist Li Ji. Between Li's gruff voice and Lin's angelic falsetto, the two created an impressive array of timeless harmonies. When Li Lin disbanded in 1996, Lin struck out on his own with a solo career, carrying his tremendous vocal control to grand stages and gathering more than a handful of awards.
