ACCAD

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of her landmark album Horses, Patti Smith and her band performed the LP in its entirety during a two-night stand at L.A.’s Wiltern Theatre in 2016. This concert film shows the godmother of punk leading her band—including original members Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty—through stirring performances of classics like “Gloria” and “Free Money”, along with a revved-up cover of The Who’s “My Generation” with special guest Flea on bass. It's a moving reminder that at 40 years and counting, Smith’s message of freedom is as timely and powerful as it's ever been.
