Luis Alberto Spinetta Essentials

Recognised as one of the fathers of the Argentine rock movement, Luis Alberto Spinetta founded several prominent jazz, blues, hard rock, psychedelia and Latin experimental acts during the late '60s and '70s, including Spinetta Jade, Almendra and Pescado Rabioso. His music and socially conscious lyrics helped soundtrack the changes in his country's political and cultural landscapes, while his gritty voice and alternative take on pop culture simultaneously appealed to the emerging MTV generation in South America.
