Country music didn't know it was waiting for Big & Rich until they exploded on the scene in the mid-'00s. Bristling with enormous arena-rock riffs and in-your-face hip-hop attitude, the singer/songwriter/producer team of Big Kenny and John Rich helped to upend Nashville conventions. Anybody who's ever thought there's no place for ferocious riffs in Music City is directed to the appropriately titled “Loud”. And “Rollin' (The Ballad of Big & Rich)” proves they weren't afraid to toss a rap into their mission statement way before that was an accepted practice in the country realm.
