Highlands Worship is a CCM praise & worship ensemble consisting of numerous singers, songwriters, performers, and producers based out of Alabama's Church of the Highlands. Beginning in 2012, the group began releasing a mix of inspirational live and studio albums recorded at the church's multiple locations throughout the state. Pastor Chris Hodges started Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, helping it to grow throughout the years into one America's largest mega-churches and expand throughout Alabama. Highlands Worship issued their first major release in 2012 with the live album Place of Freedom. A second release, the studio album Here I Surrender, appeared in 2016, highlighting material from the church's diverse cadre of songwriters and instrumentalists. It was followed in 2019 by their second live release, the uplifting Jesus You Alone. ~ Timothy Monger
