About The Havana Boys
Formed in the mid-'90s by Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe, electronica outfit the Havana Boys got their start playing in the Hamburg club scene in the late '90s. In 2000, thanks to the warm reception to their live show, which they had been perfecting for years, they were able to tour the country, and were eventually signed to Jubilee Records, who issued the Havana Boys' debut full-length, First Strike, in early 2001. Nine months later Seidensticker and Raabe, going under the name the Egocentric, followed up with World Domination on ROI/TOI, but went back to their original moniker (and label) for the 2002 release Burnin' Dragon. Two years later The H.B. Source hit shelves, but shortly after the duo decided to leave Jubilee. They found a new home on Voidcom/Ministry of Sound, who released the Boys' single "After We've Got Started" in January 2006, with "So Horny" coming the next year. ~ Marisa Brown
