Peter Friis Johansson

Pianist Peter Friis Johansson has an orientation toward chamber music and contemporary works. As a collaborative musician, he has participated in several unusual concert projects. Johansson's career got off to a promising start as he toured Scandinavia with cellist Jakob Koranyi and various European venues with clarinetist Emil Jonason. He and Koranyi released a CD that was named album of the year by MusicWeb International. Johansson's career was almost sidelined by a finger injury in 2012, but he persisted, playing concerts for a time with nine fingers until the injury healed. In 2020, he completed and gave the premiere of a piano concerto by Laura Netzel with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. Johansson has appeared on several chamber music recordings, including one devoted to the music of composer Marcelle de Manziarly in 2024.
