In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories comes from church. I was a junior deacon at my family's church from age 4 to 14 so music actually informs almost all of my earliest memories. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? EST Gee, El Toro Vince Staples, Vince Staples Yons, The Goddess Equation - EP Yons- Goddess Equation Est Gee- El Toro Vince Staples- Vince Staples The first two because they're family and I have a bias. The last one because it got me through one of the worst times in my life and it slaps. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Destiny” Destiny is important to me on multiple layers. On the most personal and selfish layer it's about women who believed in me. On the altruistic side people tell me it helps them cope with the loss of loved ones, soothe their children and welcome change. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My kids being old enough to see me perform and understand what's happening, for sure. When it finally clicked that "this is Daddy's job" they started to want to involve themselves and I love that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I made my artistic bucket list too small. I wanted a million streams. I did that years ago so now I'm just here for the vibes. I guess now I want to change all of hip hop and die a legend.
