In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to my dad's CD collection when I was young. We used to listen to his music in the car, old school Carribean and African music. I remember watching the bustling Nairobi streets from the back seat, listening to really great music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Memories” “Memories” is a very personal song to me. I lost both my mother and father in 2013 within 2 months of each other, and this song is dedicated to them. It expresses difficult emotions in a way that anyone who has lost someone is able to relate to. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I performed a set at Boiler Room Nairobi in 2022 and it was mad. The crowd were so hyped, and the other acts on the bill were incredible. As far as live events go it was the most energy I’ve experienced on stage. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to have my own studio one day, where I can record music any time I want. Sometimes when an idea hits, you can't wait. I'd also like to travel to the Carribean and make music there, with Rumba beats like the ones I grew up listening to.
