The Violin

Most will have heard of Stradivarius, the legendary violin-maker. Down the years, some of the greatest musicians have been drawn to his (often priceless) violin. The most populous instrument in the modern orchestra, the violin has a vast and incredibly varied repertoire that ranges from a single player to massed strings, and its lyrical, sweet voice has drawn from composers of every age some of the most sublime music ever written.
