Sonny Rollins Essentials

One of the fathers of hard bop, saxophonist Sonny Rollins first made a splash in the ‘40s playing alongside Miles Davis and Max Roach. By the time he became a bandleader in 1956, his improvisational style was blowing jazz fans away, incorporating classical and Caribbean influences. Rollins kept playing throughout the ‘10s, even collaborating with The Rolling Stones.
