Aussie garage-rockers Jet were responsible for some of the biggest crossover hits of the garage-rock revival. Formed in 2001, they grabbed the spotlight with their debut LP, 2003's Get Born. With a tip of the hat to Iggy Pop's “Lust for Life”, the album's unstoppable first single, “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?”, charted internationally, and was heavily featured on TV commercials. Jet went on to greater success than most of their garage-rock peers, amicably calling it quits in 2012 after selling 6.5 million records.
