Coheed and Cambria Essentials

Coheed and Cambria Essentials

Old-school progressive rock fans rejoiced when Coheed and Cambria brought the sonic imagery of vintage Rush and King Crimson to the new millennium. Instead of making one concept album, they've developed one concept, their epic sci-fi saga The Armory Wars, over a series of releases. The band came together in the '90s around singer Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever. With their 2002 debut they joined Tool and The Mars Volta at the forefront of the neo-prog movement. Later releases, including the two-part The Afterman, kept the plot twists and tricky time signatures coming.
