Inheriting the slop jar mantle thrown down by label honchos Billy Miller and Miriam Linna, heading up the now defunct A-Bones, the Church Keys play a brand of rock & roll that's long on slop and generally short in subtlety and taste. Featuring saxman Lars Espensen (the modern day King Uszniewicz) from the A-Bones and members of the New York City Talismen, the Church Keys play R&B slop that's also highly reminiscent of the Raunch Hands, another band that deals in this kind of musical gravel.
