About The Church Keys

Inheriting the slop jar mantle thrown down by label honchos Billy Miller and Miriam Linna, heading up the now defunct A-Bones, the Church Keys play a brand of rock & roll that's long on slop and generally short in subtlety and taste. Featuring saxman Lars Espensen (the modern day King Uszniewicz) from the A-Bones and members of the New York City Talismen, the Church Keys play R&B slop that's also highly reminiscent of the Raunch Hands, another band that deals in this kind of musical gravel. Their debut album, Work With It!!!, was released by Norton Records in 1999. ~ Cub Koda
