In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, I was influenced by my father and listened to music from many different countries. When the world went into lockdown due to the coronavirus, I started listening to hip-hop with a chill flavor and started producing my own music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? D'Angelo, Voodoo Marvin Gaye, What's Going On Sweet William, Tsubaki, Jasmine From Marvin Gaye, I learned the singer's unique sense of melody; from D'Angelo, I learned the irregular fluctuations of rhythmic sense; from Tsubaki and Sweet William, I learned hip-hop mannerisms and sampling aesthetics. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lemon Tea” This was the first song that strongly grabbed my attention when I first learned about Lo-Fi Hip Hop and Chillhop. Whenever I stumble upon a song in my production, I listen to it over and over again to get back to the basics. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I still remember the moment when I started producing Lo-Fi Hip Hop and the label decided to release it for the first time. It was also the moment that my career as an artist began. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As a Lo-Fi beatmaker and artist, I want to be able to convey the appeal of Lo-Fi Hip Hop to numerous people. To be an influential presence in this genre. I believe that is my current goal and the path I should take.
