In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my mother making me sing intervals, recognize chords and melodies. She gave me reward stickers when I was having a strike. It was a funny game and I think that is one of the things that made me understand the basics of music very early. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ahmad Jamal Trio, The Awakening Clark Terry, Oscar Peterson Trio, Oscar Peterson Trio Plus One Louise Akili, Louise Akili : Ravel, Roland-Manuel Ahmad Jamal: was litteraly an awakening for me! Oscar Peterson : This album embodies the joy and the pure energy of Black American music. Louise Akili : Love is what makes us create. Louise is my love and she is a great classical pianist! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Camille (feat. Clément Daldosso, Raphaël Pannier & Mathias Levy)” This song is a ballad I really like. It is special because I composed it for my ex-girlfriend, she was a luthier of violins. So I asked one of the great violinists, Mathias Levy, to record it, and he brought the melody to the highest level of emotion What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I did a whole concert in quartet with the legendary saxophone player Benny Golson at the festival "Les Tombées de la Nuit". It was incredible to play with such a giant, to play his music, to interact with somebody I had heard all my life on records. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want more people to like my music, so that everybody listens to my music :)
