About Mathieu Pordoy

A rising collaborative pianist, Mathieu Pordoy has served as accompanist to several major French and American singers. Pordoy found vocal coaching opportunities at important French venues, including the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, where he has collaborated on productions annually since 2008. He has collaborated with conductor François-Xavier Roth on some 12 productions, beginning in 2010 with a production of Ambroise Thomas' Mignon at the Opéra Comique in Paris. Pordoy's career as a song accompanist began to grow in the late 2010s. Among the prominent singers with whom he has collaborated are tenor Michael Spyres and, most frequently, soprano Sabine Devieilhe. With her, Pordoy released his debut album, a recital of songs by Mozart and Richard Strauss, in 2024. Pordoy has been on the staff at the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute in Montreal and the International Vocal Arts Institute in Israel.
