At Home With Demi Lovato: The Playlist

“I always say that substance abuse can be like a dance with the devil,” Demi Lovato tells Apple Music about the meaning behind the title of their comeback album Dancing With the Devil…The Art of Starting Over. “I pushed the limits for so long, but fortunately, I made it out to the other side. I’ve grown and learned so much.” In a revealing At Home With conversation with Zane Lowe, the pop superstar opens up about their journey to recovery after a near-fatal overdose in 2018, finding peace through meditation, and learning how to let things go. Lovato also shared their preferred method of making playlists, which they put into practice on this exclusive Apple Music playlist, including the likes of Syd, Arc De Soleil, Victoria Monét, and Phoebe Bridgers. “I literally screenshot everything that I've been listening to over the past couple of months and then put it all on one playlist,” Lovato says. “And also, my friends have really good taste in music. We’re constantly sharing stuff.”
