Australia’s enduring love for The Kid LAROI continued to define local listening in 2022, with his global hit “STAY”, featuring Justin Bieber, remaining a firm favourite throughout the year. Dance group PNAU delighted listeners with their remix of Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart”, as did Vance Joy with “Missing Piece” from his 2022 album In Our Own Sweet Time. Tones And I, 5 Seconds of Summer and Flume rounded out the top home-grown rotations, but there was plenty of love locally for what’s going on abroad.
