Many of Oasis' best-loved songs were originally found only on B-sides and stand-alone singles. That's where the band hid Noel Gallagher's soft and pleading ballads such as “Half a World Away” and the storming indie stomp of “(It's Good) To Be Free”. Any band who could afford to squirrel away modern rock standards such as “Acquiesce” or “The Masterplan” clearly have melodic riches in abundance.
