In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I learned how to speak english from Hip-Hop albums that my mom purchased at a Garage Sale because she thought it was PC games. I studied all the lyrics and as I listened to the words it helped me gain more confidence in speaking in public. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin' (Bonus Track Version) Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version) Eminem, The Eminem Show All three of these albums have helped me discover my love and passion for music and being more vulnerable with my craft. Tell us why you chose this song. “One More Thing” This song was made in 2021 but I spent my entire life so far writing it! I allow the listener to get an intimate POV of how it was growing up as an Afghan Refugee in Canada and through all the obstacles still pursuing my dreams. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I helped lead a Vancouver protest for all the injustice in Afghanistan and my performance lead to CBC writing an article about the event which gained even more attention and the next protest was even bigger. #FREEAFGHANISTAN Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To be the first Afghan artist to win a Grammy and show every refugee around the world that though life hasn't always been easy, with a relentless drive and hard work you can accomplish anything you put your mind too.
