In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I find it hard to forget my Dad, a jazz musician, using my bedroom as a rehearsal studio, for his incredibly loud trumpet playing… early in the mornings, while I was still asleep. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Vacant Life, Soundtrack to a Vacant Life Beck, Morning Phase Eels, Blinking Lights and Other Revelations It’s a double album that twists and turns through emotional highs and lows and concludes with a granfatherly reflection. I played it on repeat so many times. I was lucky enough to see Eels preform it at Manchester Bridgewater Hall back in 2006. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Great Collapsing Circus” This one was originally from 2012, and painted a picture of media corruption at the time. It keeps on coming back to me and taking on a new meaning with today's media and political corruption. I enjoyed rerecording it for the Skeletonless album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think going back to my days with Monkeyland, supporting The House of Love and Shed 7 were pretty memorable. Also very vibrant in my mind, is my first ever time in a recording studio. I remember everything about the day - waking up, breakfast etc... Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To write something better / To always find something else that I don't understand so I can always enjoy the pursuit of new knowledge.
