Over the last decade, the rise of reggaetón and trap en español produced a handful of vanguard artists who continue to enjoy upper-echelon success. In their wake, newer talents naturally emerged to push things further while growing their own profiles. Feid—a Colombian singer, and arguably the best recent example of this phenomenon—transcended his already impressive catalogue and became one of Latin music’s biggest names. A huge leap from the posse cut placement on Dalex’s 2019 hit “Pa Mí”, this year’s tremendous single “Classy 101” thrust him decidedly into headliner status alongside breakout star Young Miko. Features on Bad Bunny’s “PERRO NEGRO”, Ozuna’s “Hey Mor” and Yandel’s “Yandel 150” also reflected his stratospheric levelling-up. His album MOR, No Le Temas a La Oscuridad and the more reggaetón-focused FERXXOCALIPSIS solidified his superstar status.
