Jon Hume had already racked up considerable experience in the music business before he turned to full-time writing and producing. He fronted and co-produced the Aotearoa New Zealand alt-pop band Evermore for more than a decade, alongside his brothers Peter and Dann. After that act wrapped up, his first major credit as a co-writer was Dean Lewis’s 2019 global smash hit “Be Alright”, a universal ballad about the hard road to moving on from heartbreak.
