Since the release of her signature single "Madah Berhelah" in 1991, Zain has captivated fans over and over again with her brand of soft Malay rock coupled with distinctive vocals. Critical breakthroughs followed with the release of Setiaku Di Sini and Puncak Kasih. On the singles front, Zain continued to mesmerise fans with soft rock affairs such as "Senja Nan Merah", "Anggapan Mu" and "Kekal". But Zain isn't a one trick pony, as is clearly evident on her occasional experimentations with pop and ethnic music.
