Alongside Alisha Chinai and Sharon Prabhakar, Shweta Shetty is considered one of Indian pop's early stars. Trained in Carnatic music, the sultry singer from Mumbai went mainstream with her debut album, Johnny Joker, in 1993. Masterminded by UK-based producer Biddu, it was a promising success and led to other releases: Deewane To Deewane Hain, Dil La Ley and Saajna.
