Rising out of India's electronic scene, Udyan Sagar—a.k.a Nucleya—started out as the frontman of the experimental Bandish Projekt in 1998. His solo work has seen him build on that pioneering spirit, infusing South Asian street and folk music with his signature bass-heavy sound. One of India's first proponents of dubstep, Nucleya uses the underlying aggression of bass and the temperance of simple, half-time drums as rough-edged textures to fuel his power-packed performances across the country.
