She was born in Nigeria and emigrated to Germany, but Nneka is a musical citizen of the world. Her mercurial muse has led her into everything from R&B and reggae to hip-hop and pop, but that strong, soulful voice is always the common thread. From her 2005 debut onward, Nneka blended organic grooves with politically charged lyrics for a sound that earned attention all over the globe.
