Marca MP Essentials

The meteoric rise of Marca MP is equal parts serendipitous and the product of diligent work. Formed in 2018 by a core group of high school friends, the California natives started performing at quinceañeras and weddings out of the gate, soon storming stages all over the state and even crossing the border to cultivate a growing Mexican fanbase. While on the road, the group intersected with corridos and banda-sinaloense superstars Grupo Firme, becoming fast friends and recording breakout collaboration “El Güero” in 2019. Though Marca MP delved into banda on blockbuster crossovers with Fuerza Regida (“Creció La Cuenta”) and Becky G. (“Ya acabó”), sierreño has proven its most enduring influence, laying the foundation for 2022’s textured, down-home Brindo.
