Indian Ocean have never done things the conventional way. Formed in 1990, the pioneers in Indian rock fusion recorded an incredible seven songs in just one day for their demo. It was enough to impress HMV, which subsequently offered them an album deal. In 1993, they released their self-titled debut, a unique blend of rock, jazz and classical elements that sold 40,000 copies in the first year. In contrast, their 2010 album, 6/330 Khajoor Road, was released free of charge. We draw widely from their entire, rich back catalogue.
