I Miss the '70s: Bollywood

Composer R. D. Burman introduced psychedelia onto the Bollywood music scene, and movies were never the same again. Organ solos and propulsive bongo rhythms added intrigue to the complex orchestral arrangements then in favour. History was being made behind the mic, too—via Kishore Kumar's free-wheeling yodel, Mukesh's wistful tenor and Asha Bhosle's seductive purr.
