Rapper Clementino is an expert freestyler in both his local Neapolitan dialect and his mother tongue, rapping on tracks that fuse massive breakbeats to more crowd-pleasing elements: rock guitars, catchy harmonies and uplifting, anthemic choruses. His debut Napolimanicomio arrived in 2006 and he's since released four more records that have included collaborations with other hip-hop luminaries, including Fabri Fibra and Jovanotti. Clementino is capable at times of channelling Eminem, as on “Amsterdam”, and at others Kanye, as in the funky groove and dreamy electronics of “Luna”.
