YG Teck is one of Baltimore’s most successful rappers. The veteran made a name for himself through gripping freestyles and the authentic imagery in his lyrics. • The rapper grew up in the Park Heights section of West Baltimore. • In 2015, he self-released his debut album, No Execusez. He later repurposed that title for his record label and merchandise line. • YG Teck gained recognition in late 2017 with a four-minute autobiographical freestyle on the online radio show DTLR. • His 2020 album Eyes Won’t Close 2 features Sacramento star Mozzy, as well as influential Baltimore rappers Tmcthedon, Young Moose and 2000s veteran Bossman. • In 2019, YG Teck partnered with Young Moose—who reps East Baltimore—for the popular joint project Excuse the Mud.
