salvia palth was a short-lived project headed up by Daniel Johann, a New Zealand singer-songwriter whose lo-fi bedroom pop made him a cult favorite. ∙ Recorded in 2012 when Johann was only 15 years old, Melanchole is the first and only salvia palth album. ∙ The project’s moniker is a play on the name of famed American poet Sylvia Plath. ∙ Aside from salvia palth, Johann has released music under the name Adore, 1996.
