In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was two, my mother sat me in front of a stereo player, play some classical music or Celine Dion softly to keep me entertained while taking care of my brothers. She told me I would just stay very still and listen to the entire cassette. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Darren Korb, Transistor (Original Soundtrack) Janet Jackson, Rhythm Nation 1814 Within Temptation, Resist (Extended Deluxe) I chose the three albums because each progression of their respective stories was clear to me. I personally resonate with melancholy among other dark themes in music and art. These albums are examples where I would always listen from start to finish. Tell us why you chose this song. “One-Way Fantasy” This was the first song I've written, produced and performed for myself in my career. During the pandemic, I spent most of my downtime catching up on anime, and thought about the perspective of sympathizing with a character you become attached to. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? During my recent tour, one venue provided an older model of DJ controllers and mixer. Because I was still new to the scene, I was still nervous to the point where I'd punch and bang my head against the wall backstage. The show went on regardless. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to travel to Europe (particularly Germany or England) or Asia (Japan or Singapore) to perform at an EDM festival. For studio specific milestones, I hope to have one session with high profile Japanese artists such as YOASOBI or MIYAVI.
