About Gemelli Diversi

With two MCs, a singer, and a DJ, Gemelli DiVersi formed in Milan in 1997 when MC Emanuele "Thema" Busnaghi and DJ Alessandro "THG" Merli joined up with another duo, MC Luca "Grido" Aleotti (brother of MC J-Ax from Articolo 31) and singer Francesco "Strano" Stranges. One year later their self-titled debut was released, followed by 4 x 4 in 2000. In 2002 Gemelli DiVersi issued Fuego, which, thanks to songs like provocative "Mary" (about sexual assault) and "Tu No," helped to truly bring the quartet into the forefront of the nation's pop music, picking up the Best Italian Act prize at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2003. In 2004 the group's fourth full-length, Reality Show, came out, with Boom! appearing in 2007. ~ Marisa Brown
