About Everything In Slow Motion

Fusing introspective, spiritually oriented lyrics with powerful heavy metal guitars and drums, Everything in Slow Motion was a project launched in 2012 by Shane Ochsner, formerly the leader of the Christian prog metal band Hands. Hands broke up following extensive touring in support of their album Give Me Rest, with Ochsner believing the band had creatively run its course. In the fall of 2012, Ochsner introduced Everything in Slow Motion with an EP called Red, released by Christian hard rock label Facedown Records; recorded with producer Josh Barber, the EP featured Ochsner handling all the instruments and vocals himself, while continuing the traditions of dark introspection and tough but ambitious music from Hands. In late 2013, Ochsner and Facedown dropped the first full-length album from Everything in Slow Motion, Phoenix; the album fared well with critics and rose to 31 on the Billboard Christian Albums charts. ~ Mark Deming
